You are invited!

Short film is a blessed space within the art of cinema—a place where there is still room for wild experimentation and white spaces left on the map to explore. In our view, much of the best work today is driven by filmmakers charting new territory, often pushing boundaries well beyond the constraints of a budget.

The 39th Minimalen Short Film Festival invites you to experience it all. Join us for this upcoming edition featuring compelling Norwegian, Nordic, and International competitions, in-depth retrospectives, and the cutting edge of contemporary filmmaking. Whether you want to explore the world, the Nordic region, or our own backyard, Minimalen is your gateway.
