MULTIPLIÉ DANCE FILM
DansiT continues the good collaboration with Minimalen on the dance film program Multiplié Dance Film, established in 2015. The program is based on the unique profile of the Multiplié Dance Festival, where dance bends and extends into new, surprising and engaging forms.
For this year’s program, DansiT received 333 dance films from all over the world. The selection was made in collaboration with an external artistic committee consisting of dance artists Terje Tjøme Mossige and Nina Wollny.
• AWARD: Best Film
This year, and for the third time, a Best Film will be selected. The winner is selected by an external jury of professionals and receives a prize of 1000 euros. The jury consists of: Eli Gjerde (MA in Film Studies and CEO of Midtnorsk Filmsenter, Tendai Makurumbandi (dance artist and choreographer), and Svein Inge Sæther (MA in Film Studies and CEO of Cinemateket Trondheim).

En jente ser opp mot dybden av universet som overlapper med måneskinnet. En konflikt av motsetninger skaper en urolig lengsel. Når du med vilje entrer en annen persons univers (Vipassana), oppstår en fortettet og ubalansert innsikt mellom to mennesker.
A girl looks up at the depth of the universe, overlapped with the moonlight. A conflict of contradictions creates an agitated desire. Deliberately entering the universe of another person (Vipassana), there is a condensed and unbalanced insight between two people.

Vi ser en skapning urørlig på bakken, hun ligger dekket av slim og med akkurat nok kraft til å puste. For å overleve må hun igjennom en tilsynelatende umulig utfordring: Å reise seg.
We see a creature motionless on the ground, under mucus with just enough power to breathe. To survive, an apparently impossible challenge lies in the prospect: Getting up.

De er ikke brytere, brødre eller olympiske mestere, men inspirert av brødrene Rønningen kroppsliggjør de bryteverdenens konkrete natur og omfavner dens former og normer. Brytingen blir et bilde på et makrosamfunn der regler og konvensjoner setter grenser for hva man kan og ikke kan gjøre.
They are not wrestlers, brothers, or Olympic Champions, but Inspired by the Rønningen brothers they embody the concrete nature of the wrestling world, embracing its shapes and norms. Wrestling becomes an image of a macro society where rules and conventions set limits for what one can do.
