Trøndelag på lerretet is, as a part of Minimalen, an all night event. One seminar is specifically aimed at regional filmmakers. After that, this year’s harvest of regional shorts are presented. The day is rounded off with a social gathering at Teaterbaren.
The concept Trøndelag på lerretet (Trøndelag on the canvas) is presented several times a year by the Cinematheque Trondheim and Midtnorsk Filmsenter as the channel for regional films from the producer to the public.
The short film consultant at the Norwegian Film Institute, Åse
Meyer, will introduce herself and how she works, inform on the
consultant's role and what expectations she has for applicants.
What should an application include to get support for a short
film through the NFI? She will also share with us her greatest
sources of inspiration within the art of short film.
Åse Meyer (46) is cand.polit. in Media Studies from the University
of Oslo and has extensive experience in the film industry. She has worked with project development in her own company,
and has been a program manager in the festival Films from the
South as well as managing director and film consultant for Sørnorsk
filmsenter. Meyer has also worked for the Norsk Filmutvikling
and the Ministry of Culture, has been a freelance journalist
and held lectures in film history. Åse Meyer has previously been
an advisor for short and documentary film at the Norwegian
Film Institute.

All noise contains coloured particles of different substance and meaning. Fragile and impressionable, the fragments glide into abstract lines, colours and composition, creating Flimmer.
The film has been screened at several festivals home and abroad since it had its premiere and was awarded at Minimalen 2011 - by now a.o.
A female scientist lives a lonely and isolated life on the coast of Greenland, studying ice crystals. She is looking for the perfect partner to keep her company under such harsh conditions. One day, she discovers a website which enables her to design her perfect match.
Earth´s control box gets broken. For the alien caretaker, what seems like just another day at work, ends up as something completely different. A sci-fi story about where we come from, and about whose pawns we are - a film about what goes on above our heads.
This spectacular film was shot in 2009 and has since undergone an extensive digital post-production phase. It was originally fully financed by the regional film center. The director duo will talk about experiences during the production, their ups and downs, and their experiences with aliens.
The screening is followed by a premiere party at Teaterbaren: Chris Snorkel from Rhythm Pleasure playing things you've never heard before on vinyl.
