Award ceremony and screening

This programme contains the award ceremony and screenings of the winners in the festival’s competitions.

 

INT: International Competition

One film is awarded by the INT Award Jury:
Best International Film
The Minimalen Trophy, and EUR 1 000 given by Minimalen.

In addition, the audience have selected their collective favourite film, receiving:
Audience Award
EUR 500 given by Minimalen.

 

NOR: Nordic & Norwegian Competition

Five films are awarded by the NOR Award Jury:
Best Nordic Film
The Minimalen Trophy, and EUR 1 000 given by NTNU - Faculty of Humanities.
Best Nordic Fiction
Best Nordic Documentary
Best Nordic Animation or Art Film
Best Norwegian Film
The Minimalen Trophy, and NOK 5 000 donated by Minimalen. This film, along with one Honorable Mention, is automatically nominated in the Short Films Category of the annual, national Amanda Award (provided that the film comply with the Amanda committee nomination rules).

In addition, Trondheim kino will select one film, max. 5 min.:
Best Norwegian Prerunner
To be screened before a feature film at Trondheim kino for one month.

The Raskin Spirit Festival Award
The Minimalen Trophy. The festival chooses the film in INT or NOR that best fits the ideals for a short film as defined by Richard Raskin, and the winner is presented with The Minimalen Trophy.

One-minute-films

The audience have selected the best film:
Audience Award Presented with the trophy Den Gyldne Saks 2.0.

The audience have also selected the best film in the category One-minute-films YOUNG:
Audience Award: Presented with The Silver Scissors Diploma, along with
NOK 3 000 donated by Midtnorsk Filmsenter.

Regional Student Competition

A jury have chosen the beste film:
Trøndelag’s Best Student Film 2017: The winner receives a diploma.
