MULTIPLIÉ DANCE FILM
Back in 2015, Multiplié Dance Film was established as a cooperation between DansiT and Minimalen Short Film Festival. This year’s programme is based on the unique profile of Multiplié Dance Festival, which explores and bends the art of dance into new, surprising and exciting forms.
DansiT is a regional dance agency for professional dance artists in Trøndelag. DansiT’s main goal is to strengthen and develop the professional dance field in the region. DansiT offers a production space, residency program, co-productions and various workshops/seminars for dance artists.
DansiT promotes, offers and delivers a range of dance-related activities, such as national and international guest performances and touring networks. In addition, DansiT is Norwegian partner in the international dance film competition 60secondsdance.

Uath Lochans er et skogsområde i det skotske høylandet. I denne filmen gjør den kritikerroste dansekunstneren Marc Brew en kroppslig og indre utforsking av teksturen til stedet. Dette er det første samarbeidet mellom Brew, dansefilmskaper Katrina McPherson og Simon Fildes.
Uath Lochans is a woodland area in the Scottish highlands. In this film, critically acclaimed dance artist Marc Brew engages in a physical and visceral exploration of the texture of the place. This is the first collaboration between Brew, screendance artist Katrina McPherson and Simon Fildes.

WASHED UP BABIES
Abdulla Kurdi mistet sin kone og deres to sønner da de flyktet fra krigen i Syria over Middelhavet. Sønnen Alan skapte overskrifter da han ble funnet skylt på land på en strand etter at båten deres veltet. Et intervju med faren er sammenstilt med bilder av et gyllent småbarn som danser på en britisk strand.
Abdulla Kurdi lost his wife and their two sons while crossing the Mediterranean Sea to escape the war in Syria. His son Alan made the news when he was found face down dead on a beach after their boat was overturned by large waves. An interview with the father is juxtaposed with footage of a golden toddler, dancing on a British beach.

Incarceration is a dynamic process that unfolds over time and affects families for generations. The film draws upon individual experiences and physical memories of a cast comprised of Bay Area artists– some of whom are fathers or sons who have experienced incarceration.
