MULTIPLIÉ DANCE FILM
DansiT continues the great collaboration with Minimalen Short Film Festival on the dance film program Multiplié Dance Film, established in 2015. The program is based on the unique profile of Multiplié Dance Festival, where art of dance is bent and stretched into new, surprising and engaging forms. After several years of steady rise in local, national, and Nordic contributions, we expanded Multiplié Dance Film with its own Nordic program in 2022.
For this year’s program, DansiT received 299 dance films from all over the world. The selection was made in collaboration with an external artistic committee which this year consisted of dance artists Nina Wollny, Sebastian Tjørstad og Mathias Stoltenberg.
For the sixth time, a Best Film will be selected from the international program, as well as for the third time from the Nordic program. The winners are selected by an external jury of professionals and receive a prize of 1000 euros each.
This year’s jury consists of: Karstein Solli (Dance Artist), Øystein Moe (Director & D.O.P.) and Hanna Fauske (Visual Artist).

OMOS Fire utøvere løfter frem en oversett periode i historien om svarte mennesker ved det skotske kongelige hoffet på 1600-tallet. Four performers pay homage to an overlooked passage in the history of Black people in the 16th century Scottish royal court. KRÅKEDANSIN En parade mot den tidligere verden der dyredanser skapte forbindelse til naturen og det usynlige. Dansere og musikere iført masker tolker på nytt Kråkedansin, som er en dans og melodi nedtegnet i 1904 i Raippaluoto, samt en "kalkunlek" nedtegnet i Iisalmis vinterrettstranskripsjon i 1679. A parade towards the past world where animal dances created connection to nature and to the invisible. Dancers and musicians wearing masks reinterpret Kråkedansin, which is a dance and tune noted in 1904 in Raippaluoto, and a "turkey play", noted in Iisalmi's winter court transcrpit in 1679.
