Midtnorsk filmsenter (The Regional Film Centre) and Minimalen invites you to a festive screening in the Liv Ullmann theatre.
In the first half, the film center will present two brand new short productions from regional filmmakers. The film production community in the Trøndelag region has grown bigger and stronger over the years, at the same time the breadth and diversity in the cinematic expression has expanded.
In the second half, Minimalen will provide a taste of the rich festival programme awaiting during the week. We get to hear the curators talk about some of the special programs, and welcome a couple of the profiles and jury members that have arrived at this point.
After the screening, we move over to the opening party.

PULSATOR Abstrakt animasjon med bruk av stop-motion og digitale teknikker. Thor Sivertsen har siden 1980 regissert seks egne kortfilmer med tradisjonell tegnefilmteknikk og bidratt som animatør på flere andre filmer. Han var også co-regissør på langfilmen Kurt blir Grusom (2008). Abstract animation using stop-motion and digital techniques. Thor Sivertsen has since 1980 directed six shorts in traditional cartoon technique and contributed as an animator on several other films. RUMPA 15 år gamle Pauline begår sosialt selvmord i klassen og foran sitt største idol, filmskuespilleren Ingvar Lykke, da hun ved et uhell poster en privat snap. Men i stedet for å dø av skam gjør hun opprør mot et hav av uskrevne regler. Elisabeth Mathesons debut som filmregissør. Hun har lang erfaring som skuespiller, bl.a. tittelrollen i Liv Ullmanns film Kristin Lavransdatter, og 20 år på teaterscenen (Det Norske Teatret, Den Nationale Scene, Trøndelag Teater og Riksteatret). 15-year-old Pauline commits social suicide in class and in front of her idol, film star Ingvar Lykke, when she accidentally posts a private snap. But instead of dying of shame, she rebels against an ocean of unwritten rules. Elisabeth Matheson's debut as a film director. She has a long acting career, including Kristin in Liv Ullmann's film Kristin Lavransdatter, and 20 years on the theater stage (Det Norske Teatret, Den Nationale Scene, Trøndelag Teater and Riksteatret).
