Midtnorsk filmsenter (The Regional Film Centre) and Minimalen invites to a festive screening in the Liv Ullmann theatre with three new short films from the film industry of central Norway. Behind the films are young and experienced people side by side, manifesting three different expressions.

Paul Hensrud in To Sølvmynter has, together with Gine Moen in Ninjafilm, produced Ready to Assemble, with Erik Paulsen and Astrid Thorvaldsen as scriptwriters and directors. This is the first short film for which they have received support from the regional film centre. Although the film is brand new, it has already had its international debut in the prestigious competition programme of Flickerfest in Australia.

Legendary animator Thor Sivertsen presents his gorgeous animated short Cineplasto with music by Motorpsycho, a film that has already participated in the esteemed animation competition at Encounters Bristol in England.

And last but not least, one of our most experienced short film makers, Vidar Dahl, shares his new film Cleaning Up, produced by Petter Schancke Olsen of Kindergarten Media.

The film screening starts out in Nova 1, and will slide over to the opening reception in the cellar of Olav's pub (located in the same building).

FÖRÄNDRING FRYDER (READY TO ASSEMBLE)

Rune og Pernille finner stuebordet ødelagt på mystisk vis. På jakt etter et nytt stuebord på IKEA møter forholdet deres større prøvelser enn de hadde sett for seg. Er dette den naturlige gangen i et forhold, eller ligger det en større konspirasjon bak?

Rune and Pernille suddenly find their living room table unexplainably broken. On the look for a new table at IKEA, their relationship runs into bigger ordeals than they ever would have imagined. Is this really how a relationship works, or are they the subjects of a conspiracy?

CINEPLASTO

En abstrakt animasjonsfilm med musikk av Motorpsycho. Flytende former og farger som er skapt ved å kutte 1 mm tynne skiver av blokker med modelleire, og slik gradvis avdekke de skjulte mønstre og former.

An abstract, animated short with music from the Norwegian band Motorpsycho. Floating shapes and colours created by cutting 1 mm thin slices off blocks of modelling clay, gradually revealing the patterns and shapes hidden inside.

OPPRYDDING (CLEANING UP)

Erasto sørger i kirken, og utenfor står det en politibil og venter på ham. Uten et ord tar fortellingen oss med på en sterk og tankevekkende reise gjennom Erastos opplevelser, mens tragedien utspiller seg foran øynene hans.

Erasto mourns in church, and outside there is a police car waiting for him. Without a word, the narrative takes us on an emotional and thought-provoking journey through the experiences of Erasto as the uneasiness of tragedy unfolds before his eyes.
