Best International Film - The Minimalen Trophy and 1000 euro granted by Minimalen
• BYE BYE TURTLE av Selin Öksüzoğlu (FRA)
In a barren hilly landscape, a young girl escapes her own tragic reality av accompanying a stranger, who after many years of absence tries to find her way back home. The director did an excellent job blending emotional depth with the stark landscape in creating an impactful story. The relationship between the two main characters leads to many rich, nuanced moments. The jury was amazed av the overall performance, the acting, and cinematography that all together blend perfectly well into a strong and touching film.
Honorable Mention
• FREAK av Claire Barnett (USA)
To a film that lingered with us long after the last frame. This powerful multi-faceted story touches on so many existential questions in a bold, fresh and intimate way, both when it comes to visual style and storytelling. And at the end it leaves us as raw and exposed as the film itself.
• SILENT PANORAMA av Nicolas Piret (BEL)
To a film that in a clever and masterful way sparked our imagination within the first 10 seconds. With the most subtle small movements and a soundscape that draws us into the peaceful feeling of a quiet night in nature, the film feels real and genuine. The film’s visual artistry is captivating, breathing life into a single sheet of paper with remarkable depth and emotion.

The award was established to celebrate the unique qualities of a compact, poetic short film that make use of the visual and auditive possibilities in an imaginative way, and do not follow the traditional feature film dramaturgy.

Best Nordic Film - The Minimalen Trophy and 1.000 euro granted by NTNU - Department of Art and Media Studies
• SWEET TOOTH (Munbloss) av Willy Fermelin (SWE)
For its multi-layered approach, exploring teenage life, self-acceptance, coming of age, and drug use. The jury admired how successfully this film combined these seemingly complex and heavy themes into a lighthearted tone.
Best Norwegian Film - The Minimalen Trophy and 5.000 kroner granted by by Minimalen
• SORRY I'M LATE (BUT I BROUGHT A CHOIR) (Dette er ikke en fest (det er en vinkveld)) av Håkon Anton Olavsen
The jury was charmed av a playful film that shows how the best of decisions influenced av alcohol can be quite hilarious. For its originality, its humor and authenticity.
Best Nordic Documentary
• DE GALLO QUI OVAVIT av Nina Forsman (FIN)
With imaginative use of archive material, combined with intelligent and humorous storytelling, the winner of best documentary manages to make a curious tale from fifteenth century Switzerland resonate with serious global issues of today. The egg laying rooster becomes a representative for marginalized gender minorities and for the right to define one's own life and body.

Combining wit with a clever approach to tackling stubborn facial hair, this film brilliantly uses animation to deliver a heartfelt and engaging story of self-acceptance.

The movie is a humorous comment on what, for many, is a serious problem. With simple and colorful animation it portrays a series of complications and challenges tied to something as straightforward as trying to remove a hair from the chin.

This film shows exciting use of choreography combined with the film format, utilizing the potential of dance film. It has a raw and wild yet precise expression combined with beautiful images. The performers convey emotions in a subtle but powerful manner, making the film's expression strong. This is combined with skillful camera work and a complete soundtrack that reinforces an "old school" feeling.

• SHAME av Hadi Moussally
To a visually fascinating film that creates a universe of its own with a convincing and complete aesthetic. It is theatrical and absurd with a simplicity that makes the expression strong. The rhythm of the movements has a captivating flow in connection with the intriguing music. The voices feel close, but the people are distant - as you can't see the faces - creating an exciting contrast.
