Welcome The 28th Minimalen Short Film Festival! The 28th Minimalen Short Film Festival presents 214 films from Wednesday 27th to Sunday 31st of January 2016 at the Nova Cinema in Trondheim, Norway. Go from premiere party to premiere party and be among the first to watch the seminal films. Afterwards, you can have a beer with the filmmakers at the Festival Club. Welcome to this year's film fest!



• INT: International Competition (6 programmes with 40 films from the whole wide world outside the Nordic Countries) • NOR: Nordic & Norwegian Competiton (6 programmes with 51 films from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland) • One-minute-films & EMU (1 programme with 38 films from Norway) • EFA: Short Matters! (3 programmes with 15 films from Europa) • Children's Programmes (2 programmes with films for children, and an animation workshop) • Multiplié Dance Film Dance and film is a powerful combination. DansiT presents a wide spectre of worldwide dance films. • Short Treats Entertaining films borrowed from International Competition, with a few supplements. (2 programmes) • Conflight Six shorts giving us insight into today’s difficult political and humanitarian situation.		• Romanian New Wave: Adrian Sitaru & Radu Jude Ten years after Romania entered the international short film arena with superb depictions of everyday life, it is high time to take a closer look at two of our absolute favorite filmmakers. (2 programmes) • Statement Too: Arvid Sletta & Jørn Utkilen In the documentary Statement Too, Jørn Utkilen explores his fascination for Arvid Sletta. Watch the film and enjoy the two of them in conversation afterwards. • Masterclass: The Secret World of Moths The two Finnish filmmakers Hannes Vartiainen & Pekka Veikkolainen have made several award-winning shorts together. Meet them, watch their films and get firsthand insight into how they are made. • Norwegian Film Art: The 80's We continue our journey through the history of Norwegian film art, decade by decade, in cooperation with Atopia. Now it's time for a closer look at the 80's. • Short Film Studies Symposium Two acclaimed short film are investigated to see how they work, with the participation of both filmmakers. A proper energizer for anyone who wants to understand or create a short film. • Narrative Music Videos Avantgarden is the venue for this presentation of Norwegian, narrative music videos - including a Helmet-produced premiere from Highasakite!
